Which German course should I visit in order to make rapid progress?
If you need/want to learn German quickly, then we encourage you to participate in one of our intensive courses. In these courses you not only learn very intensively in small groups, but you can also prepare for an exam.
How will I be assigned to a level?
Every course at Deutsch in Graz begins with an oral and written placement test. The test should be taken prior to your course at Deutsch in Graz, so that teaching can start on the first day of class.
How long do I need to complete an entire level?
The classification of the levels corresponds to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Deutsch in Graz offers 10 levels. A sub-stage in the intensive course lasts 4 weeks (100 units plus 16 units workshop) in the evening classes 8 weeks with 64 units per course (or 16 weeks with 32 units per course).
Can I finish my course with an officially recognised test?
At Deutsch in Graz you have the opportunity to take an ÖSD or ÖIF test every 4 weeks. For more information, please visit: Tests
What should I bring on the first day?
Please bring a photo ID, proof of payment and a dictionary with you on your first day. All course materials will be provided by your instructor.
Can I learn at the institute after classes?
During the workshops on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon you can repeat, practice and consolidate your German skills. You also have the opportunity to complete practice exams.
We go to great lengths to ensure that you are placed in the appropriate course level from the very beginning. If this is not the case, then it is possible to change levels up until the Wednesday of the first week of your course.
