Registrations or changes to bookings will be accepted exclusively in writing via the registration form or online (http://www.dig.co.at). You have the option to register via email (office@dig.co.at), through our website (www.dig.co.at), or in person at Deutsch in Graz. All registrations are binding.
For a booked language trip (language course with accommodation), you will receive an invoice and a registration confirmation with all relevant information about the course and accommodation.
Payment for the course and accommodation fees is due according to the payment deadline specified in the invoice. Timely payment is made by receipt of the payment to the specified account of Deutsch in Graz. Please note that late payment of the fee does not guarantee a place on the course. When making the transfer, it is important to specify the invoice number.
Payments can be made by bank transfer or credit card (plus 3% credit card processing fee). Cash payments are only possible up to an amount of €250. Please ensure that payments are made free of charge for Deutsch in Graz. In case of default in payment, default interest of 1% per month will be charged.
Our Account:
Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark AG Kaiserfeldgasse 5, 8010 Graz AT 76 3800 0001 0560 5498 BIC: RZSTAT2GXXX
The participation fees are VAT-free according to the Value Added Tax Act of 1994 and partially tax-deductible.
For the blue voucher from the ÖIF, we kindly ask you to submit this at the reception of the language school before the start of the course, as we are required to report your participation to the ÖIF. Vouchers presented during or after the course cannot be considered for the current course at Deutsch in Graz.
Group Size:
Our groups consist of a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 16 course participants. If the maximum group size is exceeded due to reclassifications, the group will be divided with 16 participants or more. The minimum number per proficiency level is 6 persons. [dig] reserves the right to reduce the number of units or cancel courses in the absence of a minimum number of participants.
Cancellation of Courses and Accommodations:
Cancellations must be made in writing. Non-payment of the fee or non-attendance at the course does not automatically result in cancellation. Unless otherwise stated, cancellation is free of charge up to 1 week before the start of the course. A processing fee of €80 will be charged for cancellations. For cancellations from 7 days before the planned start of the course, the entire course fee is due, even if the course is not attended. In case of withdrawal from the first day of the course or non-attendance at the event, the entire course fee will be invoiced. If you nominate a substitute participant, the cancellation fee will be waived. There is also no entitlement to a refund or discount in case of irregular attendance or early termination by the participating person.
For booking two or more courses, a uniform cancellation policy applies to all courses. Cancellations or withdrawals from individual courses are not possible. In the event of an unsuccessful visa application, a refund is only possible up to one week before the start of the course. Participation in an online course or course postponement are options, but there is no refund of the course fee.
Reclassifications:
Participants acquire a language course, not a fixed proficiency level. If a participant is reclassified during the course, for example due to faster progress or lower language skills than expected, this does not entitle them to terminate the course or receive a refund of the course fee. Participants have the option to attend a higher or lower proficiency level course.
Cancellation of Exams (ÖSD, ÖIF, and Telc):
Cancellations must be made in writing. Non-payment of the fee or non-attendance at the exam does not automatically result in cancellation. Unless otherwise stated, cancellation is free of charge up to 2 weeks before the exam. A processing fee of €50 will be charged for cancellations. For cancellations from 14 days before the planned exam, the entire exam fee is due, even if the exam is not attended. Non-attendance at the exam will result in the entire exam fee being invoiced.
Cancellation (Withdrawal) and Rescheduling – Individual Lessons and Corporate Courses:
Agreed individual lessons and corporate courses must be rescheduled or cancelled in writing by 6:00 pm the day before at the latest, otherwise the scheduled teaching units for the respective day, including any travel costs, will be invoiced in full.
Regulations for Online Instruction (instead of Face-to-Face Instruction):
a) Face-to-face instruction is conducted wherever possible.
b) On days or times when the premises of the Deutsch in Graz language school are closed due to official or legal regulations or other comparable circumstances, such as developments in the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, and face-to-face instruction is not possible, online instruction is considered an equivalent form of instruction.
c) Online instruction is also considered equivalent on days or times when quarantine is ordered for the course group as a whole or for the course instructor of the attended course.
d) Course participants avail themselves of the offer for online instruction on days or times when Deutsch in Graz is unable to provide face-to-face services. This is accepted by the course participant as a full replacement for face-to-face instruction without further compensation.
e) Online instruction is provided through the platform of a third-party external provider. The external service provider, through which Deutsch in Graz conducts online courses, is Zoom (Zoom Video Communication, Inc). This service provider has a valid EU-U.S. Privacy Shield agreement. By using the Zoom service, the course participant expressly agrees to Zoom's privacy policy, which can be accessed at zoom.us/privacy-and-legal.
f) Course participants require a suitable device (computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone) and internet connection to participate in online instruction. Deutsch in Graz does not provide a device or internet connection. Please note that internet usage costs may be incurred by participants for online instruction, which are to be borne by the participants and not covered by Deutsch in Graz.
g) Course participants are expressly prohibited from making recordings (audio and/or visual) of online instruction.
h) Participants are not required to register, make payments, or provide credit card information when using the Zoom platform. The bandwidth used by the Zoom platform is optimized based on the participants' internet connections and automatically adjusts to 3G, WiFi, or wired environments. It is recommended to have an internet speed of at least 1.2 Mbps (upload/download) for HD video. The respective internet speed can be determined on all devices (computer/laptop, tablet, smartphone) via an online speed test (e.g., at www.speedtest.net).
Certificates of Course Attendance:
Certificates of course attendance are issued if the course participant attended at least 80% of the course duration.
Course Offer:
The prices quoted are valid until 31.12.2024. The course price includes teaching materials (books, copies) and liability insurance. The minimum number per proficiency level is 6 persons. Deutsch in Graz reserves the right to cancel courses without a minimum number of participants or for organizational reasons. Participants already registered will be informed of course cancellations before the start of the course, and payments made will be refunded in this case. There is no entitlement to compensation for incurred costs. If the minimum number is not reached, the course may still take place if the participants agree to a reduction in hours at the same course price or if the difference is paid by full-paying participants.
In the event of the teacher's illness, the course will either be conducted by a suitable substitute or the missed session will be made up at the end of the course.
